Security. Scurati (Lega): «500 thousand euros for projects with Local Police and Third Sector. More tools for Municipalities to prevent distress»

«Regione Lombardia makes available 500 thousand euros to support Municipalities in the realization of new urban security projects through the collaboration between Local Police and Third Sector Entities. A model that strengthens territorial presence and the prevention of degradation and incivility phenomena».

This was stated by Silvia Scurati, regional councilor for the Lega and vice-president of the Productive Activities Commission.

«Each project can receive up to 30 thousand euros. The initiatives may concern awareness in schools, parishes and aggregation places, road safety, the promotion of legality and interventions to redevelop and revitalize degraded areas. The resources can also support the extraordinary extension of the service hours of the agents involved and the costs incurred by Third Sector Entities».

Single or associated Municipalities and Unions of Municipalities with at least 10 thousand inhabitants can submit applications by September 10, 2026, through projects that involve Third Sector Entities.

«In a phase where social distress, episodes of incivility, and phenomena of youth deviance require ever greater attention, it is positive that Regione Lombardia continues to invest in prevention. Enabling the Local Police to develop projects together with Third Sector Entities means strengthening their presence in the territory, promoting the culture of legality, and building prevention paths that involve especially young people. Therefore, this intervention by the regional Department of Security is welcome, providing Municipalities with concrete tools to respond to the needs of their communities», concludes Scurati.
